ProxyPicker publishes only what we can verify, and dates everything. Here is the exact process.
Price verification
Every rate on this site was read directly from the provider’s public pricing page. Each record stores the source URL and the date we checked it. We re-check on a weekly cycle and whenever a change is reported to us. When a provider’s page contradicts itself — and that happens; one major provider currently lists two different pay-as-you-go rates on the same page — we publish both numbers and say so.
Promotional vs real pricing
Several providers frame standing prices as limited-time discounts (“50% off” that never ends). We record the price actually charged at checkout and note the framing, so you can tell a real promotion from marketing.
Promo codes
We publish a code only after testing it in a real checkout, and we date every test. Dead codes stay listed and are marked dead — knowing a code doesn’t work is as useful as knowing one that does. We list no codes at all until this testing pass is complete: an empty verified list beats a page of fiction.
Trials and refunds
Trial lengths, data caps, card requirements and refund windows are verified by reading the provider’s current terms and, where feasible, signing up. Until a term is verified it is marked as pending — never guessed.
Update cadence
The pricing dataset is re-verified on a rolling weekly schedule, 2–3 site updates per week. The changelog is the audit trail: every change we catch, dated.
Independence
ProxyPicker plans to earn affiliate commissions from some providers (see our disclosure). Commissions never touch the data: prices are published as measured, rankings are computed from the dataset, and providers who pay nothing are covered identically to providers who pay. As of August 2026, no affiliate links are live on this site.
